Lido is an institution and the play the store is one of the best. I held the repast for my mother's funeral here and I was not disappointed at all. It was fitting. Have my mom's favorite dish, the Ledo Hawaiian the next time you go.
A fairly quiet dining experience. The service was pleasant and punctual. The food quality was decent and affordable for the portion size. I look forward to stopping in again.

We switched to the LaPlata location after COVID because Waldorf seemingly couldn't make a pizza without burning it and it was often difficult to get someone to answer the phone. Since then, I order from LaPlata every Sunday, and we also celebrate my kids' birthdays there. We've NEVER had a problem; even when they're slammed the waitress (I'm sorry, I don't know her name) is always on her game. I deal with the same people every week and they're always pleasant. I see a bunch of negative reviews and I'm more inclined to believe the majority are just miserable people who either want something for nothing or just want to complain. It's a pizza place... if you want a 5-star dining experience and gourmet meals, then go to Old Town Alexandria and pay 125-150 for a meal.
Steak and cheese is one of the best! Fries were hot with crispy exterior and soft interior. Not too salty. The pizza was cooked well but not burnt. Excellent service. Very clean.
Great food, phenomenal service (today we were served by Allie )! My favorite thing to get at any Ledo’s is the Meatlovers calzone, and here it was especially good. However, I ate it before I remembered to take a picture, so here is a picture of the Hot Honey Wings. Not only were they perfectly crispy and tender, but the somewhat spicy “hot honey” glaze also doubled as a delicious dipping sauce for the calzone. Edit: just ate here a year later. Still amazing. 6 out of 5 stars. By far and away my favorite restaurant.
